Online courses should go through a Quality Course Review process before being offered to students. This process will ensure that the course meets high pedagogical standards designed with students' best educations experiences in mind. 

Courses should focus on student engagement and meet any national accreditation and certification standards required for that material.

Courses that have undergone Quality Course Review should undergo re-review every 5 years OR if any significant changes take place during that time.

For example, 3 years after being reviewed, a new instructor takes over the course wants to revise the outcomes and assessments for that course based on updates that have occurred within that discipline. That revised course should undergo a re-review to ensure that the course still maintains high standards of excellence.
