After a lecture, reading, discussion, video, or guest speaker, students are asked to concisely identify what is still unclear to them on a piece of paper. The facilitator collects all the muddiest points and in the following class addresses the concerns by identifying patterns/themes in the responses. Addressing the muddiest points may include a summary of the class’s responses, an intervention of
some form (e.g., new activity, example, or reading), and/or discussion.
