Both the Missouri S&T campus and University of Missouri system offer a number of awards for faculty recognizing excellence in areas including research, teaching, service, leadership and other areas. The Faculty Achievement Award recognizes non-tenure-track faculty who have demonstrated sustained excellence in at least one of the categories of teaching, research, or service. The nomination and selection of individuals for the award shall be based on teaching or research or service to the university and to the individual's profession. The award includes a $1,000 stipend. The Faculty Excellence Award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated sustained excellence in all three missions of the institution: teaching, research, and service. The award includes a $3,000 stipend. For more information and an application, go to the provost's website.
The Faculty Teaching Award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching-related activities. Nomination packages include student and peer evaluations of teaching effectiveness and other supporting documentation of pedagogical innovation and effectiveness. The award includes a $1,000 stipend. The Faculty Research Award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in research and scholarship. Awards are given based on the significance of the contributions of the individual in the preceding two years, as well as the long-term impact of the individual’s research. The Faculty Service Award recognizes faculty members who display exemplary, sustained service to the university and their profession. The intent of the award is to honor outstanding citizens of the university for their commitment and service. The nomination and selection of individuals for the award are based on any combination of service to the University and the individual’s profession. The award includes a $1,000 stipend. The Experiential Learning Award is sponsored by the Office of Academic Support and recognizes faculty and staff who require undergraduate students to go beyond mastering basic skills and knowledge in the application of that material to problem-solving challenges. The Service Learning Award is sponsored by the Office of Academic Support and recognizes faculty and staff who involve or influence undergraduate students in academic service-learning or community service activities outside the classroom. The Woman of the year is an honor given to a female faculty member (full-time tenured or tenure-track) dedicated to student education and committed to diversity. For more information, go to the Provost's website.

CASE offers four categories of awards managed by the CASE Faculty Leadership Council
The CASE Faculty Leadership Council is made up of faculty from the departments within the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education. This Council serves as an advisory group to the Vice Provost and Dean and meets regularly regarding academic and student matters. The Thomas Jefferson Award recognizes faculty who rise above excellence and demonstrate clear distinction in teaching, research, creative activities, and service to the University of Missouri and humankind.
